Is it March yet? Normally we're all about living in the moment, yada yada yada -- but our already killer 2016 (did you see our January SoundDiego LIVE lineup yet? RSVP already!) just got exponentially better. Grab your dancing shoes and glow sticks, folks: CRSSD Festival is once again taking over San Diego's Waterfront Park -- this time, on March 5 and 6, 2016 -- with some of the most in-demand dance, chillwave, house, and EDM artists in the scene right now.
This will be the third and latest incarnation of the two-day electronic music festival that takes place on the San Diego Bay. After getting into the indie-rock territory on the last go-round with TV on the Radio and the Flaming Lips, the new lineup is a return to the fest's original EDM focus: Odesza has been tapped to perform again (read our interview with them here) and they join Chet Faker (see our recent photo gallery of him here), Gordon City, Tycho, Loco Dice, Tale of Us, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones, Claude VonStroke, Hi-Lo, Green Velvet, and so many others. If you love EDM, there's just no excuse not to make it out to this thing.
Of course, you're not going to host one of the biggest music fests in the city at a downtown park without incurring at least a little damage to the surroundings (we reported on that here) -- but overall, it seems like the crowds have kept it to a minimum. Let's keep it up, folks. If you're going, please make sure to be responsible adults and treat our city right.
