Vokab Kompany, Transfer and the Silent Comedy will be at the track Friday

So many great shows to check out this weekend.

Friday has night two of Jason Mraz at the Civic Theatre; the Silent Comedy, Transfer and Vokab Kompany play a local showcase at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club; Tribal Theory with Los Rakas, Neveready and Reality Changers hit the House of Blues; Future Islands play a sold-out show at the Irenic; Night Riots take over House of Blues; Lake Street Dive and the Dustbowl Revival play a sold-out show at the North Park Theatre; Buck-o-Nine, the Downs Family and Labeled Victims take over the Casbah; Midnight Rivals and Behind the Wagon play at the Whistle Stop; Benjamin Booker, Low Volts and Badabing are at Soda Bar; XX Fest with Chica Diabla, Pleasure Fix, Zombie Barbie and Poontang Clam are at the Ken Club; and the Grim Imperials, the Singles and Mittens play at the Tin Can. Get your dance on with DJ Man Cat at U-31; and Jacques Greene and Jim-E Stack take over Bang Bang.
 
Start off your Saturday with the Mira Mesa Festival of Beers. Later that evening, Jason Mraz plays night three at the Civic Theatre; Built To Spill headlines a sold-out show at the Irenic; F---ed Up, Tijuana Panthers, Ghetto Blaster and Subtropics are at the Casbah; The B Side Players 20th Anniversary Celebration is at the Belly Up; Gone Baby Gone, Cult Vegas, Zombie Surf Camp and Johnny Deadly Trio are at the Ken Club; and Whitney Morgan and the 78’s play at Soda Bar. On the dance tip, Club Sabbat takes over Numbers. I’ll be DJing with Dark Angel in the front room and you can get more info here. Elsewhere, Booty Bassment is at The Whistle Stop and Posso hits Bang Bang.
 
On Sunday, Intervention at the Hard Rock Hotel features ATB; Ozomatli hits Embarcadero Marina Park South as part of the San Diego Symphony Summer Pops concert; Mandolin Orange, the Americans and Lexington Field play at Soda Bar; and Cardboard Truckers headline the Casbah.
