Saturday’s Halloween shows include the Heartaches and DJ Old Man Johnson at Bar Pink (this is now a free show; Rocket From the Crypt canceled their set due to an injury); No Knife, the Dabbers and Ghetto Blaster at the Casbah; Halloween Spooktacular Tribute Night with Nine Inch Nails (Roxy Jones), Shocking Blue (Wild Wild Wets), Talking Heads (Hills Like Elephants) and the Jesus & Mary Chain (Sleeping Ghost) at Soda Bar; Soja, J Boog and Dustin Thomas play at the Observatory North Park; Halloween Tributes to the Pixies, Cock Sparrer, the Cure and Nirvana hit the Hideout; Gone Baby Gone, the End, Fictious Dishes and the Dirty Pennies are at the Ken Club; and Deadbolt takes over the Black Cat. Lots of dance options with Heaven & Hell featuring DJ sets from Passion Pit, Porter Robinson and Hotel Garuda at the Town and Country Event Center; Club Sabbat’s Spooktacular Halloween Bash at NUMB3RS with DJs Liquid Grey, Vaughn Avakian and yours truly; The Massaquerade Ball at the Lafayette Hotel; Monster Bash in the Gaslamp Quarter; Halloween Block Party 2015 at House of Blues; Taches at Bang Bang; DJ Vice at Omnia; and Booty Bassment at the Whistle Stop.
On Sunday, Trey Anastasio plays at House of Blues; Soja, J Boog and Dustin Thomas hit the Observatory North Park for Night 2; Day of the Funk -- featuring XL Middleton, Moniquea, Throwback Zack, Cookie Crew DJ’s and PWC -- is at the Casbah; Sean Nicholas Savage, Promise Keeper and Longclaws take over Soda Bar; and B-Side Players, DJ Saul Q, DJ Chucuchu and Casa de Calacas are at Music Box.
