4th and B Fills up With Air

On the heals of Thursday night's sold-out Washed Out show at Sushi Performance and Visual Art (produced by San Diego nonprofit, Sezio.org), chill-wave veterans AIR return to San Diego with a show on Saturday at 4th and B.

A musical collaboration between Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoรฎt Dunckel (of Versailles, France), Air creates beautiful, lush melodies inspired by the likes of Brian Wilson and Moog maestro Jean Jacques Perrey. To date, Air has released six albums, including the critically acclaimed Moon Safari, The Virgin Suicides soundtrack, Talkie Walkie and 2009's Love 2 (featuring the awesome track "Sing Sang Sung").

Prior to the official release of Love 2, Air streamed the album for exactly 24 hours, for an interactive "listening party." During the online bash, track names were not displayed, but fans were given the opportunity to comment via Facebook, and their comments were integrated into the media player, as well as Google Maps. Following the listening party, the album was streamed on Air's MySpace page.

Don't miss Air on Saturday at 4th and B.
