Kick off your Thursday night with yours truly, as I host a happy hour from 5-7 p.m. at 207 at the Hard Rock Hotel downtown. It’s the Compassion Rocks clothing-drive kickoff party benefitting Father Joe’s Villages; you can get more info here

The huge event that’s happening this weekend is the San Diego Music Thing. This annual two-day music and media conference takes place Friday and Saturday, with the panels located at the Sheraton Hotel in Mission Valley. Plus, there are more than 150 local, regional and national bands performing all over San Diego, including the Kim Gordon, Features, FIDLAR, Little Hurricane, the Silent Comedy and Ra Ra Riot. The kickoff party takes place at the Casbah on Thursday night and features headliner New Politics. For everything you need to know about the entire weekend, go here.
On Friday as part of the SDMT, I’m hosting and DJing at the Whistle Stop. Three of my favorite local bands -- Manuok, Boy King and Ed Ghost Tucker – will be performing. Another live music pick is Jimmy Cliff at the Belly Up. More fun awaits you at Bang Bang with DJs Gabe Vega and Saul Q; Voyeur features Felix Cartal.
On Saturday, get your pool party on at Harrah’s Resort as Morgan Page headlines Dive DayClub's Adult Swim Saturday. Later that night, join me at Numb3rs, where Club Sabbat will be taking over both rooms. I’ll be DJing in the front room, with Replicant and Drew Harlander will be in the back room. Get more details here. Booty Bassment hits the Whistle Stop after live SDMT performances from Black Hondo and Schitzophonics. Plus, you can check out Annger Dimas at Voyeur.

Have a great weekend, and I’ll see on the dance floor!
