Miss Erika Davies is one of San Diego's rising stars with unique vocal style that is a throwback to the early 20th century.
On the eve of her first official show at Dizzy's, local songstress Miss Erika Davies has dropped a new video.
Fans have long loved Davies' eccentric "Robot Girl." Now, with the help from the folks over at SD Sound System, the song has been given the full treatment in a White Horse Session. Take a look:
"Robot Girl" was recorded and filmed live, and was directed by Kevin Joelson and Rebecca Joelson, recorded by Aaron Swanton at White Horse Recorders and produced by Michael Halloran, Aaron Swanton and Jason Lehr
The Sunday show should be a memorable one for fans of San Diego's chanteuse.
"I'll be playing an hour set with the addition of a grand piano," Davies told us.
In addition to the nominatee for this year's San Diego Music Award for Best Jazz, those who attend the show on Sunday at Dizzy's (inside the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center; a full bar will be open) will also get to see a performance by singer/songwriter Carlos Olmeda.
Tickets are $10 at the door (cash only). The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
