California's redevelopment agencies have put forth a last-ditch offer to shift some money dedicated to housing to support schools. The Capitol Weekly has details here.

It may be too little, too late. The Brown administration dismissed the proposal. The new governor's plan to tackle redevelopment has been popular -- despite widespread opposition. At this point, if he were to back off elimination, his credibility might be on the line.
