Lady Gaga may be the queen of Twitter but there is new dictator on Facebook.
The pride of Barbados, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, has surpassed Lady Gaga to become the most followed female artist on the Palo Alto-based social network.
Rihanna, as she is better known, has 40,884,338 fans, while Lady Gaga comes in second with 40,773,754 as of Monday morning, according to social media stat service Famecount.com.
But even with their millions of fans, the two women are trumped by the king of the virtual land: Eminem. The rapper, whose name is Slim Shady in case you're wondering, has more than 43 millions fans on Facebook.
There is a consolation prize for Rihanna. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the singer recently became the fourth artist in history with more than 1 billion YouTube views. She has more than Eminem.
Combining her success on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, Rihanna is now considered the third biggest social media star behind Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.
