The city of Cupertino, Ca. -- that one-time orchard-filled village that now houses the (occasionally) most valuable company on the planet -- has released more details around Apple's new headquarters. The headquarters that Steve Jobs referred to as a "spaceship."

[A photo gallery of renderings and floor plans is here.]

Jobs made the first proposal for the project at a city council meeting in June. It includes 2.8 million square feet, a circular design, a 1,000-seat auditorium and research facilities, including underground parking for all those workers and visitors.

There are site plans, floor plans and renderings available here.

Our original report is here. The raw video of Steve Jobs' presentation to the council is here.
