The International Trade Commission has given Apple the victory it had been seeking against HTC.
The organization ruled tht it would impose a limited import ban on some HTC phones starting April 19.
The ban won't go into effect until April 19, to give U.S. carries a chance to adjust to the ban and it also must still survive a presidential veto.
In the ruling, the commission ruled that HTV violated tariff laws by importing phones that violate patents owned by Apple.
The suit is part of a larger battle that smartphone-makers are carrying out against each other across the globe.
