Google Working on Neck Tattoo Microphone

Google filed a patent for a neck tattoo that works as a microphone that can tell if you're lying or not.

The "electronic skin tattoo" was created because mobile devices must battle serious noise levels, and a microphone stuck on to the skin of the throat can pick up sound vibrations more clearly, according to the patent. It's stuck with adhesive to the skin and the microphone is embedded into the electronic sticker.

Then there's the weirder part about the filing:

Optionally, the electronic skin tattoo 200 can further include a galvanic skin response detector to detect skin resistance of a user. It is contemplated that a user that may be nervous or engaging in speaking falsehoods may exhibit different galvanic skin response than a more confident, truth telling individual.

OK, Google, now you want to be able to use these microphones as lie detectors? Could Google be planning a bloodless revolution and this is part of its interrogation plans?

The possible lie detector seems a strange thing to suggest. It makes us think that Google may have something in mind for the next few years, so perhaps a noisy microphone isn't such a bad thing after all.
