Google Wants You to Track Yourself and Not Feel Bad About

Google is pushing a new feature and it finally gives you good reason to set up alerts about yourself.

The Mountain View-based search giant introducted its "Me on the Web" service, which allows users to track what others are saying about them on the Internet and easily track it through Google Dashboard.

The feature is suppose to make it easier for Google users to set up alerts with their personal information and if a breach -- or some indicent virtual graffiti -- does show up, Google will also connect you to services to deal with the potential problem.

Like most Google products, the alert system is free.
