Google Is Searching for Young Scientists

In the age of Google, is there really any other way to run a science fair than online?

That's exactly what the Mountain View-based search giant was thinking when it started its online science fair competition last year.

Now the time has come again for 13 to 18-year-olds across the globe to submit their science-based research projects online to compete in Google's challenge.

Google will accept digital submissions from Jan. 12, 2012 to March 30, 2012 in 13 different languages.

The company's aim is to encourage scientific exploration amongst the next generation of tech savvy brainiacs.

In 2011, Shree Bose of Fort Worth, Texas, won first place, amongst 7,500 submissions from 90 countries, for her research on ovarian cancer.
