Google's ambitious plan to put every book in the world on the Internet has hit another roadblock.

The Google Books project was put on hold when a group of authors and publishers sued Google to stop the Mountain View-based company from scanning and posting their books without permission.

Last year the lawsuit was iced after Google reached an apparent settlement with the Authors Guild. But a judge threw that settlement out and now a new class action has been filed.

Google has settled individually with some of the publishers and authors involved and it is trying to get the new suit thrown out.

The search company is arguing that the class should not be certified.
