A Facebook page called, "Pedophiles are people too," doesn't violate the social network's policies because it's controversial humor.
The Facebook page gained national attention when the New York Post began commenting about the site Tuesday, calling it "disgusting" and "crap." Facebook also apparently finds it "disgusting" but told the Post it wouldn't take down the page:
Facebook is a service devoted to helping people share and making the world more open and connected. . . . In general, pages or groups devoted to jokes, even disgusting and distasteful ones, do not violate our policies.
