Apple: Cheaper Macs, 8GB iPhone 5S at WWDC

Experts are expecting Apple to debut cheaper iMacs, an 8GB iPhone 5S, and smart home software in its new iOS 8, according to reports.

Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference next week is often a place where Apple debuts hardware, and so far analysts think Apple will be launching cheaper Macs, an 8GB iPhone 5S, the new iOS 8 and OS X10.10, according to AppleInsider. Basically, the new hardware is likely going to a be a snooze. The new 8GB iPhone 5S won't have any new features.

KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made the announcement, but it was quickly spiked by The Loop's Jim Dalrymple, a "well-connected insider." The low-end Mac isn't a bad idea, but it seems as if the announcement would be a little premature at the WWDC.

Other reports have said that Apple will be debuting more of its smart home and personal software with the new iOS 8, and so far there's been little doubt about that announcement.
