Gibson can be seen peering put from behind the a beaver hand-puppet (one that bears a striking resemblance to the gopher from "Caddyshack") in the poster for "The Beaver" that was spotted at the American Film Market by the guys at Coming Soon.
In front of the beaver Gibson's holding up a sign that says, "Hello, this person is under the care of a prescription puppet. Please treat him as you normally would, but address yourself to the beaver."
Gibson is the most radioactive man in Hollywood thanks to his anti-Semitic and/or sexist and/or anti-black rants. In addition to offending countless millions of people and sullying his own name, his personal shortcomings have also deprived us all the pleasure of seeing "The Beaver."
Two years ago, "The Beaver" -- about a the CEO of a toy manufacturer who begins communicating with the world around via a hand-puppet -- was the hottest script in the business. Soon enough, Jodie Foster signed on to direct and co-star, casting Gibson in the lead and the likes of Jenifer Lawrence and Anton Yelchin in supporting roles.
We've said it before and we'll say it again: just release it already. If the movie's any good, people will check it out.
