Forget the parties, the drugs and the women.
"Middle Men" might have set its sights on the massive excess of porn industry pioneers, but for star Gabriel Macht it was all about family.
Macht's wife Jacinda Barrett was on the Phoenix set because she also had a significant part in the movie. Macht tells us that it made for very simple child-care for their nearly two-year-old daughter, Satine.
"We were in Phoenix together the whole time," said Macht. "(Jacinda) would work on Monday, and I'd take care of the daughter. And vice versa."
So while Macht's porn-pioneer character unravels on the screen, Macht was feeling very grounded off the set. "It worked out perfectly," he said.
In fact, the two never needed a baby-sitter since they were never in a scene together in the movie.
The star is hoping that this will lead to other projects in the family. His top goal is to work on a movie that his wife directs, but Macht said he'd settle for sharing some camera time.
"I'd love to work with her," he said. "And in the same scenes."
Macht will be next undertake the part of a charismatic corporate lawyer in the USA drama "Legal."
