Emma Stone Reuniting With “Easy A” Director Will Gluck

Having already joined forces to make one giant pile of money, Emma Stone and Will Gluck are getting the band back together in the hopes that lightning strikes twice.

Stone and Gluck, the star and director of hit hit teen sex comedy "Easy A," have agreed to shoot another film together next summer.

“Will and Emma blossomed in "Easy A," which was easily the most well-liked and best critiqued movie Screen Gems has made,” Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper told Deadline. “To have them want to team again at Screen Gems makes me the happiest and luckiest guy in the business.”

Curiously, "Easy A" screenwriter Bert V. Royal has not been invited to join them, with Gluck handling the writing duties this time around.

Gluck's first screenplay to be produced, "Friends With Benefits," starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis as the FWBs in question, comes out July 22. The trailer arrived online about a week ago, and was promising, if not game-changing.

"Easy A" was exceptionally good film, with a great star turn from Stone buttressed by several outstanding supporting performances from the likes of Patricia Clarkson, Stanly Tucci , Thomas Haden Church and Lisa Kudrow.

Stone can next be seen April 22 in "Crazy, Stupid, Love," starring Steve Carell as a fathering navigating his relationship with his kids while going through a marital crisis. The film co-stars Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore, Marisa Tomei and Kevin Bacon.
