It's okay to be a little enthusiastic about a possible return of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" for an 8th season.

That man who brought together the cast of "Seinfeld" for season 7, co-creator and star Larry David, said as much on Sunday, according to Reuters.

David told a packed William S. Paley festival crowd in Beverly Hills there is a "pretty good" chance there will be a new season on HBO. "It's not definite yet," he added, "but we're working on some stuff."

That's pretty close to a yes. We'll consider that last part just a safety-valve in case some sort of real-life hijinx gets in the way for the man who has made a living off of hilarious misunderstandings. The primo cabler traditionally leaves it up to David to decide whether he's coming back -- and clearly the show's quality is maintaining excellence -- so the star's willingness to return is a good sign.

Variety.com reports that one possible story arc would be torn from today's headlines -- the problems at Toyota. Guest star JB Smoove would likely return because he drives a Toyota Prius on the show.
