After signing a three-year, $45 million deal with the New York Yankees, previous Mets outfielder Carlos Beltran is parting ways with his 7,500-square-foot Sands Point home. The Long Island estate is in contract after less than two years on the market, reports The Real Deal.
The home first saw the market in early 2012, after Beltran signed with the St. Louis Cardinals. Shortly after switching up brokers and changing the ask to $4.725 million, after previously asking $5.8 million.
The only thing we know about the buyer is that he or she is "not from this country," and the final sale price of the seven-room home is private for now.
The home is a 30-minute ride from Citi Field and has seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, an extra large kitchen, a gym, a backyard patio, a pool, a game room, and a basement sports bar lined with television sets.
