America's finest swimmers -- including tarnished star Michael Phelps -- are in San Diego County, perfecting their strokes at the Olympic Training Center.
The team arrived in San Diego Sunday for a two-week training session in Chula Vista.
Phelps won the hearts of Americans last August by winning eight gold medals at the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. Phelps had a tougher start to 2009, however, when a picture of him appearing to smoke marijuana from a bong surfaced in magazines, newspapers and on television. Phelps has said he is sorry and is looking to restore his image.
A media event with the swimmers is being scheduled at the OTC for March 21.
