Martha Still Draws Crowds

Her recipes aren't cheap but Martha Stewart, who stopped in Carlsbad to sign copies of her newest cookbook, maintained that her recipes are affordable and easy to prepare for families.
"They're relatively easy. Some might have an unusual ingredient or so, but nothing strange, nothing you can't get at your local grocery store with really, really great results," said Stewart.
The domestic diva stopped at the Costco in Carlsbad to sign copies of her new cookbook, "Dinner at Home." Believe it or not - this is Stewart's 67th book. She's been writing books since 1982.
The crowds were so big in Carlsbad that Stewart stayed longer than expected and sold more than 1,000 books. Signing all those books wasn't difficult because of her secret weapon - a very light pen.
While she signed books in preparation for the crowds, Stewart was making arrangements to see "Where the Wild Things Are" with her staff right after the appearance followed by a quick bite at George's in La Jolla.
