Need help with your wine cellar? Want to up your business' wine sales? How about needing a little help deciding what wines to serve at your next dinner party? Wine Smarties is your go-to place for all things wine -- and offers everything you'll need to become a Wine Smartie!

The wine tasting classes cater to all levels of wine lovers, and whether you come to one class or every class, you'll leave knowing more about wine then you thought possible.

"The wine classes are great! Very informative, well organized and most of all FUN. I was amazed at the last class to meet people from Germany, Switzerland, Australia, and Turkey. Wow, that is some email list you have. I have learned a great deal of valuable information from the wine and food pairing classes. Looking forward to future events."  --Mike M.

Some of the classes offered are: "Wine 101-Taste Smarter Series", "Pairing 101-Food and Wine Series", and "More Event Than Class", featuring "Making Scents of Wine", "Wine Label Balderdash" and "Iron Chef-Sommelier Taste Off". Classes are $35 each, $60 for two classes, or $100 for all classes in a series. Prices include wine, instruction and, of course, plenty of fun.

"We are currently beginning to offer WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) certification classes," said  Josh Sarver, Marketing Coordinator for The Wine Smarties. "These classes are internationally recognized in the wine industry. This is a huge deal for San Diegans, as these type of classes have never been offered in our region. Anybody that has wanted to be certified in wine knowledge has had to go as far as Los Angeles to receive their certification."

Lindsay Pomeroy is the founder, owner and Principal Consultant of The Wine Smarties. She has quite an impressive resume: Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) with the Society of Wine Educators, and directed the Wine Spectator Award-Winning wine program at Dussini Mediterranean Bistro. Pomeroy has also lived and taught in northern Italy, Boston and San Diego.
