To take a page from Rachel Zoe, "What a disaster!"

An assistant to Bravo TV starlet and celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe has separated from the sometimes over-the-top designer -- who has coined terms such as "I die" and "What a disaster" -- though the circumstances remain unclear, a rep for Zoe told Usmagazine.com.

Taylor Jacobson, who had worked for Zoe for four years, is known for butting heads with the stylist and has been depicted in recent episodes of the TV series "The Rachel Zoe Project" as less enthusiastic to help out her employer.

It is unclear whether Jacobson quit or was fired.  A source told Us that she was let go.

But in Jacobson's own e-mail to friends obtained by the mag she said she was both "saddened and exhilarated," and had "decided to go off and style on my own."

Another Us source echoed the e-mail's positive note.  "It was time to move on.  She's going to pursue independent styling."
