City Digz Grand Opening Party

If you love to shop thrift – and you know who you are – you’ll want to know about a new shop in town.

City Digz opened in March and it’s getting good reviews as a great place “to dig for gems.”

On Saturday, some of those gems were modeled by Toussaint Academy teenagers at the store’s grand opening fashion show.

Almost as if to prove that this isn’t your run-of-the-mill thrift store, organizers held the "after party" at Stingaree offering free admission to anyone who donated some high end fashion.

The key to this thrift shop is how it caters to young fashionistas – the website on MySpace boasts a lounge area with sample music or bedding sets for starving students.

Also, they’re looking for local designers to feature in a designated area of the store.

City Digz is located at 16th and Market in the East Village and is part of Father Joe's Village.
